PostHeaderIcon Some Tips To Minimize The Stress Of Rushing Daily Every Morning

A stressful time of day in many households is the early morning hours before the kids have to get off to school. Everyone is scrambling to get dressed, eat, make lunch, and find their backpacks. Parents can help lesson this tension with some preplanning.

The night before is a great time to soften the impending chaos of the morning. Choose some of the tasks that do not have to wait until morning. These probably include, making lunches and setting out clothes. School age kids are old enough to take on some of these responsibilities.

If you are on a tight schedule, school days are not the time for a three course hot breakfast. Save that for the weekend. Stock up on easy to prepare breakfast meals such as cereal, yogurt, nuts and breakfast bars.

One of the biggest time killers for a family is the television. If it is turned on, kids will become distracted and glued to watching it. This will adversely affect your chances of getting out of the house on time.

Everything should have a place and everything should be put in its place. This is certainly true of the myriad of children’s stuff that comes in and out of the door on a school day.

PostHeaderIcon The Great Thing Behind The Requirement Of Uniform Dress Codes

Some people believe school uniforms are the only way to go when discussing a child’s education. Others believe they hamper a child’s self expression and should not be forced upon children. Regardless of the opinion, the use of uniforms in today’s schools as long been an intense topic among parents and faculty alike.

Studies conducted by experts indicate that violence and fighting are less rampant in schools with uniforms. Quarrels among kids often originate from differences in clothing style, and one kid cannot tease another about their clothes if the first kid is wearing the exact same thing.

Less wealthy students are most likely not going to be able to afford the latest trend in fashion. This makes them a target for bullying by wealthier kids and will probably result in fighting as they stand up to their tormentors. Students from all economic classes wear uniforms and lose their senses of respective superiority or inferiority. They all become more similar.

Gang affiliations are also harder to establish with uniforms on; gang colors cannot be worn and thus students don’t differentiate as easily. This makes gang activity more manageable.
