PostHeaderIcon Reasons That Natural Food Is More Nutritious

Organic vegetables cost a lot more than ordinary foods, and we pay the extra as we think they are much better for us, but are they? This is a heavily debated subject with many on each side of the argument.

There are those who swear by the health benefits of eating organic, while others dismiss this view as garbage. In fact, if you stop and think about it for a moment, naturally grown, organic foods are going to be good for us, fact. Scientific testing backs this up.

Farming organically is good for both our bodies and our planet, only sustainable sources are used so lessen the carbon footprint.

The higher prices that are charged for organic food is justified by the fact that our environment is paying a much lower price than it does by conventional farming methods. Isn’t it worth paying a bit more than risking long term health problems caused by other foods?

In the past we have looked to the FDA for guidance and trusted their judgements, where organic farming is concerned, however, they seem to be dithering. We applauded them for banning some of the pesticides used in conventional farming, but then we found that other carcinogens were still being used. Then they approved the sale to the general public of over 40 kings of GM crops, so my faith in them has drastically declined.

PostHeaderIcon Looking For The Perfect Pet For Your Kids

Almost every kid probably wants a pet of some kind. Thankfully, there are a variety of pets to choose from, and you can select the kind of pet that best fits your home and your child’s age.

If your child is young, you might want to consider a hermit crab as his or her first pet. They don’t make a mess and they’re quite easy to care for. They’ll crawl around if you take them out of their cage, and they can even move into larger shells as they get bigger. Simply having a pet will be an experience for your child.

If your child can assume more responsibility, you may consider getting him or her a hamster or guinea pig. Kids love these pets, but they require more care and attention; they must be fed daily and their cages cleaned weekly.

These pets are also nocturnal, meaning that they’ll be awake and running around in their cages while you’re trying to sleep. It can be quite annoying when they’re running in their wheels while you’re lying in bed.

Even though your children have probably talked about playing dress up games you may not know exactly what that means. You probably think it refers to wearing your mom’s clothes like you used to do with your friends. Understanding Dress Up Games

Paper dolls were probably your favorite form of a dress up game when you were a child. They cardboard doll wearing only a swimsuit or her underwear came with clothes you could clip on her. You might have even made your own outfits to fit the doll by tracing her shape and designing new outfits for her to wear based on her shape.

Paper dolls are different today because they are on the internet. There are at least a few hundred different online dress up games on the internet today. The websites offer a large variety of outfits and dolls to choose from unlike the paper dolls you played with when you were young. Many of the games are based on a theme like a wedding theme, a school dance theme or a celebrity theme. All you have to do is drag the clothes to the doll.

PostHeaderIcon Why Volunteering Is Really Significant

Today most of our youth don’t believe volunteering is very important. They also believe that volunteering is for adults, people who don’t have anything better to do and people who love doing it. Today’s youth, not all but most, have no sense of doing for others.

When you give your time to help others, it instills humbleness within your life. Volunteer work is such an important part of life because it makes us to be better people.

Being a volunteer in their communities and having all the peers at school look up to them for motivation will be all the incentive a student needs. Unfortunately volunteering doesn’t involve getting paid to do the work, but the rewards of helping others will be the benefits you receive.

Depending on the age of your students who are volunteering, you can award them by a point or merit system so that they get credit for each hour of volunteer work they put in.

This way, they would be more open to volunteering and helping others during their spare time. The more hours they put in, the more points or merits they receive. You can even give out big awards at the end of the school term or year.
